Today we are making a basil mac and cheese. The sweet basil compliments the bacon and sharp cheddar. This is a super easy mac and cheese perfect for the Fall air…
I have here some fresh basil, sautéed onion and garlic, crispy bacon bits, and Wisconsin white cheddar. In a pot with salted water cook add in about 6oz (half box) of elbow pasta.
In a sauce pan pour in about 8oz of half-n-half. Bring to a slow boil. Remove from the heat and slowly add in the shredded block of cheddar. Drain the pasta well and stir into the cheese sauce. Next add in the remaining ingredients.
Stir together and then top with some remaining bacon and basil.
Bon appetite!
♥ ♥ Love,
Miss Amy
