These were my favorite cookies growing up. My mom would make them using an old-fashioned cookie press. I loved the little star shapes she made popping them into my mouth. If you love sugar cookies these are even better with an oh so creamy texture that melts in your mouth!
I have not been able to find the recipe anywhere else, not even on the Philly Cream Cheese site. Can you believe that? Luckily I have my mother’s old recipe card so I am setting out to bring them back. A cookie like this cannot disappear and I will make sure it doesn’t happen. 😉

Cream Cheese Cookies Yield 3-4 dozen
Cook Time: 8-10 min. Prep time: 1 hr. Cook Temp: 375 Degrees
1/2 cup butter
4 oz. cream cheese (1/2 brick)
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tspn. vanilla extract
1 cup flour
Make sure your cream cheese and butter are at room temperature.
Cream your butter, cream cheese, and sugar together. Beat in the vanilla. Gradually blend in flour. Form the dough, wrap and place in the fridge.
You want to leave it in the fridge for about 40 min- 1 hour until dough is cold and firm, otherwise it will be too sticky to work with.
Fill cook press or roll out the dough between 2 pieces of wax paper. If you are rolling out, lightly flour dough so it doesn’t stick to paper.
Place cookies onto an ungreased cookie sheet or parchment paper.
Add your sprinkles and place in the oven on 375 for 8-10 min.
