Holiday Menu Part 3 Easy Dinner Rolls – Traditional Popovers

My mom made these for us during the holidays growing up. We couldn’t wait for her to make these every year. As I got older she bought me two cookbooks with the recipe inside both and now I make them all the time! I’m so happy to share this family favorite and hopefully it will become a traditional bread at your family gatherings. 🙂

Easy Popovers (Servings 6) Cook Time: 40 min.
1 cup milk
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons veg.oil
Note: Your going to want to make these 40 minutes before you eat because they are best served hot right out of the oven. Also you may want to double this recipe because they go fast!!
In a bowl, whisk all the ingredients together. See, wasn’t that easy? Generously grease 6 muffin cups. Pour batter half way and place in a preheated 450 degree oven. Bake  for 20 minutes. Decrease oven temperature to 350 degrees and bake for 20 minutes more. It’s the waiting that is the hardest part. 😉
Remove and serve piping hot with butter, apple butter, or jam.
