Holiday Menu Part 4 – Sweet and Easy Baked Ham!!

This baked ham is SWEET and EASY – perfect for a traditional Christmas dinner. You can do either pre-cooked spiral or in this case ham steaks.

Easy Baked Ham

Can of Sliced Pineapples

1/4-1/2 cup brown sugar

Real Maple Syrup

In a baking pan lay in your ham. Add the pineapples along with 1/2 of the juice. Top with the brown sugar. Pour over a nice swig of maple syrup. Wrap with aluminum foil and place in a pre-heated 350 degree oven for about 15-20 minutes.

Next you have to make the best part – the sweet and oh so buttery gravy!

Ham Gravy

2 tablespoon of butter

1 spoonful of flour

Pour the broth into a liquid measuring cup. Skim the top and spoon out any excess fat. In a small sauce pan add 1 tablespoon of butter and a spoonful of flour. On medium-high heat stir the flour and butter together until it creates a yellow roux. Pour in your broth stirring the roux and broth together. Add the other tablespoon of butter, stir. Bring the heat down to med-low. Put on the lid for 3-5 stirring on occasion until the broth begins to thicken into the best gravy ever.

Well, this concludes our holiday meal – Candied Yams, Green Bean Casserole with bacon and cheddar, Easy Popovers and Baked Ham.

I hope I have given you some great ideas that will inspire your own holiday spread. 😉

Enjoy your holiday dinner!

Love, amy
