Healthy Snack – Peanut Butter Banana Quesadilla!

This is a perfect snack before a hike or workout. I use small corn tortilla’s because this quesadilla is pretty hardy. You may have grown up eating peanut butter and banana sandwiches, but today we are not using a peanut butter that contains a ton of sugar in it – ’cause sugar is what turns into fat!  Instead we will be using an all natural peanut butter which is thicker and hardier.  The honey will be used as the sweetener. 😉

Peanut Butter Quesadilla

  • All natural peanut butter (Trader Joe’s salted)
  • Sliced bananas
  • Drizzle of honey

First spread on the peanut butter and drizzle a circle of honey.

Place banana slices on top!

On med. heat put a dollop of of butter (remember we are trying to be healthy here 🙂 ) or olive oil in a fry pan. Place the peanut butter tortilla face up in the pan and place another tortilla on top. Wait about 3-4 min. then carefully flip.

Cook for another couple of minutes pressing down with your spatula so the quesadilla flattens a bit.

Take out of the pan. Then eat 😉

The peanut butter and honey ooze out of the quesadilla and just melts in your mouth. Yummy!

I hope you enjoy this healthy version of a peanut butter and banana.
