Brie Toasts served 2 ways – Grilled Apples and a warm Blackberry Sauce…Yummy!!

If you love Brie  as much as I do then these toasts will blow your mind! I use simple everyday ingredients that will be sure to impress your guests. 🙂

So today we are going to make brie toasts two different ways. One, we are going to make with cooked apples and the other we are going to serve with a warm blackberry sauce that will just melt in your mouth. 🙂

Brie Toasts

  • loaf of french bread
  • brie
  • 1/2 cup blackberry preserves
  • 1 apple (sliced)
  • vanilla extract
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1-1/2 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon water

You will want to pre-slice everything before you begin. Slice down your bread, apples, and brie…

For the toasts just cook them in 2 tablespoons of butter and a 1/2 tspn of brown sugar. You just want to cook the toasts on one side. Once the brown sugar carmelizes the edges, they are done!

Tip: Keep an eye on the toasts. If the sugar get’s too hot it can burn. 😉

Place on a cookie sheet lined with foil. Top with brie slices and place in a pre-heated 350 degree oven for 7-10 minutes or until brie is soft to touch.

Tip: Tin foil makes for an easy clean-up. We like that… 🙂

In the same pan you cooked the bread, add 2 more tablespoons of butter, a teaspoon of brown sugar, and a teaspoon of vanilla extract. Add the sliced apples. The apples will take about the same time to cook as the brie toasts in the oven. Continually sautee the apples until nice and soft.

Now for the blackberry sauce. This sauce is super simple and delicious! I am so excited to share it with you.

It’s 2 ingredients.

Amy’s Blackberry Sauce (servings 4)

  • 1/2 blackberry preserves
  • 1 tablespoon water

To a pot add a 1/2 cup of blackberry preserves with a tablespoon of water.  Heat on medium low stirring until the preserves melt down into a lovely sauce. That was easy! 🙂

Remove the toasts from the oven.

Top half of the toasts with the caramelized apples…

and the other half with the delectable blackberry sauce.

or combine them together. 😉
