Grand Marnier French Toast

2016 for me is all about adventure and enjoying my life more, so let’s start the New Year off right with my Grand Marnier French Toast! I thought why not add this lovely orange liqueur to my favorite breakfast treat. It is sure to put a smile on your face. 🙂

Typically for French Toast I eyeball the recipe, but it’s usually 2 parts milk to 1 part eggs.

Grand Marnier French Toast (8 Slices)

  • Grand Marnier (2 splashes)
  • milk (aprox. 1 cup)
  • vanilla extract (teaspoon)
  • grated nutmeg fresh)
  • cinnamon
  • eggs (2)
  • butter
  • sliced sourdough bread
  • Grade A Maple Syrup

Optional Topping

  • Whip Cream
  • Grand Marnier

In a shallow bowl, combine the first 6 ingredients. Grated fresh nutmeg is definitely the secret ingredient to amazing french toast so I highly recommend getting some. 🙂

Next, heat up some butter in a pan on medium heat. Dip the bread into the egg mixture.

*Tip when you get near the bottom of the egg mixture, add some more cinnamon & nutmeg.


Top with some warmed up maple syrup and if you really want to get fancy you can add a splash of Grand Marnier to some whip cream.
